Michael Finger (CH)

Finger was trained at the Schauspiel Akademie Zurich as an actor. Since then he has worked in various theatre, circus and movie productions as an actor, director, writer and musician. He played in Stefan Haupt’s feature film “Utopia Blues”, for which he was awarded the Swiss Film Prize and Max Ophüls Prize as "Best Actor", as well as a "Shooting Star" at the Berlin Film Festival. He was director of the Zirkus Chnopf and in 2009 founded the company Cirque de Loin. His first feature film "Bersten" (producer, screenwriter and director) ran in Swiss cinemas in 2007, as well at the competitions of the Montreal World Film Festival and the Zurich Film Festival. "Bersten" was nominated in the categories Best Screenplay and Best Young Actor/Actress for the Swiss Film Prize 2008, and was awarded the Schweizer Filmperle 2008 by the Association of Swiss Film Journalists (SVFJ).
